Word of Wheeler dining at a restaurant circulated around social media among Antifa accounts. Later in the evening, a video posted by Antifa-propagandist Melissa “Claudio” Lewis highlighted the interaction.
Wheeler was dining with a family member when confronted by the mob.
“You gas children in their home,” claimed a member of the mob while restaurant employees tried to get them to leave.
“That’s not true,” responded Wheeler. “You need to leave and you need to stop.”
This is not the only incident of Wheeler being swarmed by Antifa mobs while dining at restaurants. In January, Wheeler was confronted while dining at Café Nell when a mob confronted and shouted at him outside a tent where he was sitting.
According to a spokesperson for Wheeler’s office, the mob pushed past restaurant employees. At one point, a member of the mob attempted to physically assault Wheeler.
Later in January, Wheeler and former mayor Sam Adams, were leaving a pub located in southwest Portland when a lawyer, Cary Cadonau, filmed him yelling and unmasking Wheeler. Cadonau followed Wheeler to his vehicle and then Wheeler pepper-sprayed him in the face.
