Press Secretary Jen Psaki stated that the Biden Administration is finding new ways to increase vaccination numbers among Americans
One strategy will be going to communities with a low vaccination rate and go door-to-door to ensure they know “how both safe and accessible the vaccine is”
At the beginning of the White House Daily Briefing Press Secretary Jen Psaki stated that the Biden Administration will be implementing “door-to-door outreach” to encourage Americans to get vaccinated. The Administration will go to “targeted” communities that will be focused on getting more people vaccinated by going door-to-door. The goal of going door-to-door will make sure that Americans are informed and know “how both safe and accessible the vaccine is.”
After failing to meet President Biden’s goal of having 70% of Americans getting the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine by Independence Day, the Biden Administration will now be “focusing” on five areas to increase vaccination rates.
The first focus will be doing “door-to-door outreach” in communities to make encourage unvaccinated Americans to get the vaccine and make sure they “have the information they need.”
Jen Psaki stated, “One, targeted community by community door to door outreach to get remaining Americans vaccinated by ensuring they have the information they need, and how both safe and accessible the vaccine is.”
The other focuses of the Biden Administration will be to ensure doctors and pediatricians have vaccines to give to 12–18-year old’s who are going back to school this fall and making the vaccine available in work areas to those who don’t have access.
Psaki also stated that 160 million Americans will have both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine by the end of the week.
