A former advisor to New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo alleged on Twitter Sunday morning that the Governor “sexually harassed me for years.”
According to her LinkedIn profile, Lindsey Boylan served as a special advisor to Cuomo from March 2015 to October 2018. She is now a Democrat running for Manhattan Borough President. Her Twitter bio describes herself as a “progressive.”
Boylan tweeted out a thread on Sunday morning alleging Cuomo sexually harassed her during those years.
“Yes, @NYGovCuomo, sexually harassed me for years,” Boylan said. “Many saw it, and watched. I could never anticipate what to expect: would I be grilled on my work (which was very good) or harassed about my looks. Or would it be both in the same conversation? This was the way for years.”
“Not knowing what to expect what’s the most upsetting part aside from knowing that no one would do a damn thing even when they saw it,” Boylan said. “No one. And I *know* I am not the only woman.”
Boylan has not been shy about voicing her opinion about Cuomo. She called working for Cuomo “the most toxic team environment” last week on Twitter.
Boylan ended her original thread simply saying how she hates how “some men, like Cuomo, abuse their power.”
Boylan stated afterwards that she “has no interest in talking to journalists.”
Cuomo’s office has not responded to the allegations as of now.
