According to a a tweet from Breaking911, a new immigration bill introduced by House and Senate Democrats will not only bring back illegal immigrants previously deported by the Trump administration, but it will also provide them with amnesty.
Breitbart has also reported on this new bill and has noted that this bill was actually proposed by President Joe Biden.
The bill, which was formally introduced to Congress by Democratic New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez, would provide amnesty to the 11-22 million illegal immigrants currently residing in the United States. The bill will also increase the level of legal immigration beyond the 1.3 million green card yearly admissions.
However, the main point of this bill would be to provide amnesty to illegal aliens who previously lived in the country but were deported during the Trump administration as long as they have not been convicted of a felony or have less than three misdemeanors.
In total, Breitbart reports that the Trump administration deported around 900,000 people. Furthermore, ICE reports that in the year 2019, there were a total of 117,000 deportations of illegal immigrants who were not guilty of committing a crime making them all eligible to return to the United States.
Ultimately, this bill would hand out green cards to millions of illegal immigrants who are a part of DACA, TPS (Temporary Protected Status), or considered farmworkers. All other illegal immigrants who are not a part of any program will be able to apply for a green card and eventually American citizenship.
Breitbart concludes by stating that the United States’ legal immigration level will surge over the course of the decade if this bill should pass.
