President Joe Biden finally had his first solo press conference today since taking office, during which he appeared to struggle through it at times.
While Biden was answering a question regarding his stance on the filibuster, Biden stated that he first joined the Senate “120 years ago.”
“With regard to the filibuster, I believe we should go back to the position of the filibuster that existed just when I came to the United States Senate 120 years ago. It’s being abused in a gigantic way,” said Biden.
While Biden was answering a question, he appeared to forget what he was talking about.
Biden referred to voting integrity laws being passed in states as “sick,” comparing them to Jim Crow laws.
“This makes Jim Crow look like Jim Eagle.”
While Biden was receiving a question, he got up and started walking around the room, starting his answer away from the microphones.
Biden claimed that the increase in illegal immigrants coming to the border was due to a “seasonal increase.” Biden continued, saying that people are coming because he is “the nice guy.”
During the conference, Biden stated that he plans on running for reelection in 2024. Biden is currently 78-years-old.
