Rioters and protestors that broke into the Capitol on Wednesday vandalized Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s office. As protestors made their way into the Capitol, pictures show someone in the Speaker’s office sitting behind the desk. Another photo shows broken glass on a mantel in Pelosi’s office as well.
Other pictures show protestors throughout the Capitol hanging off the balcony in the Senate Chamber, massive crowds, and someone walking away with the Speaker’s podium.
President Donald Trump activated the National Guard and told his supporters to be peaceful in a video, which has been taken down by Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter.
One woman was shot in the neck during the protests today and was pronounced dead several hours later. Washington D.C. as well as cities Arlington and Alexandria in Virginia have set 6:00 p.m. curfews for Wednesday night to help with the unrest.
Large crowds are convened outside of the Capitol, and the RF Angle’s Blair Nelson captured exclusive footage of the scenes outside. Protestors tried to break into windows in the Capitol, some using nightsticks and other objects taken from police.
