A video recently released by Project Veritas shows Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey calling for more censorship of conservative voices on Twitter.
In the video, which was given to Project Veritas by an alleged Twitter insider, shows Jack Dorsey stating the need for censoring conservative accounts, including President Donald Trump’s account.
“We are focused on one account (@realdonaldtrump) right now but this is going to be much bigger than just one account and it’s going to go on for much longer than just this day, this week, and the next few weeks and go on beyond the inauguration,” said Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey.
“We have to expect that we have to be ready for that. So, the focus is certainly on this account (@realdonaldtrump) and how it ties to real world violence,” continued Dorsey.
Jack Dorsey also praised Twitter’s decision of banning Q Anon followers, but stated that Twitter needs to go further in its censorship.
“And the moves that we’re making today around Q Anon for instance, one such example of a broader approach that we should be looking at and going deeper on,” stated Dorsey. “But we also need to give them the space and support to focus on the much bigger picture, because it is not going away.”
“You know, the U.S is extremely divided,” continued Dorsey. “Our platform is showing that every single day, and our role is to protect the integrity of that conversation, and do what we can to make sure that no one is being harmed based off that. And that is the focus. And that is the color we wanted to provide.”
