A few Republican senators suggested ending MLB’s antitrust exemption after its decision to pull the 2021 All-Star Game and the MLB Draft out of Atlanta due to Georgia’s new voting integrity bill.
“Why does @MLB still have antitrust immunity,” said Mike Lee. “It’s time for the federal government to stop granting special privileges to specific, favored corporations—especially those that punish their political opponents.”
Cruz also posted a link to MLB’s sponsors, essentially suggesting his followers to boycott them.
“These are MLB’s corporate sponsors, who pressured to pull the All Star game out of Atlanta,” said Cruz. “Do all of them oppose voter ID? Are all of them willing to be the woke enforcers of the corrupt Democratic Party? And do all hate the 75m who voted for Trump?”
