A woman who was shot at the Capitol protests in Washington D.C. on Wednesday has now been pronounced dead. Video of the incident shows protestors inside the Capitol building when the sound of a gun shot can be heard with the woman falling to the ground bleeding. The woman was shot in the neck and was carried out on a stretcher.
Video of the incident was posted on Twitter at 2:19 p.m. Wednesday and the victim was transported out of the Capitol before 3:00 p.m. Information about any potential suspects who fired the shot is still unknown.
President Donald Trump has activated the National Guard to help with the chaos in Washington D.C., and has emphasized to his supporters to be peaceful.
Washington D.C. as well as the cities of Arlington and Alexandria in Virginia have announced a 6:00 p.m. curfew for all residents to help disperse the crowds.
Large crowds are convened outside of the Capitol, and the RF Angle’s Blair Nelson captured exclusive footage of the scenes outside. Protestors tried to break into windows in the Capitol, some using nightsticks and other objects taken from police.
